Happy Halloween!

Christmas is coming too early this year! Everywhere I go I see twinkly lights and hear Christmas songs...I  even received a holiday card in the mail the other day. Too soon! I love Christmas, but I also love Thanksgiving, so in the spirit of a good meal shared with loved ones, I'm going back a couple weeks and posting some pictures from the pre-trick-or-treating Halloween meal I made for my nieces and nephews.

Whenever I get a free Saturday from shooting weddings in the fall, I try to get to a football game with my husband. These shots are from my first game at the Gopher's new TCF Bank Stadium. We lost to California that day, but the game was exciting and it was a gorgeous day for football!

Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans

And miss it each night and day?

I know I'm not wrong... the feeling's gettin' stronger

The longer, I stay away.

Miss the moss covered vines...the tall sugar pines

Where mockin' birds used to sing

And I'd like to see that lazy Mississippi...hurryin' into spring.

Oh, the Mardi Gras...the memories....of Creole tunes....that fill the air

I dream...of Oleanders in June....and soon I'm wishin' that I was there.

Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans

When that's where you left your heart?

And there's something more...I miss the one I care for

More than I miss New Orleans.
